They have a linen texture so are not silky but will soften over time and washing. I washed with hot water, detergent instead of detergent and tumble dried until completely dry. Which minimizes wrinkles. Almost no fluff when drying, which is a sign of quality, as well as the absence of overdrying. When you put it on the bed straight from the dryer you won't have any wrinkles or creases. But honestly, if crumpled sheets are driving you nuts, your priorities are seriously off the charts and you need advice. Practice relaxation on these amazing sheets that will likely last a lifetime and save you money. Due to the weight and texture of the fabric, I prefer to use pillowcases rather than extra pillows and ordered a silk pillowcase for my happy sleeping face. The best sheets I've ever bought.
