I purchased a concealment shelf which was fairly good size and heavy made with 3/4 ply. I decided to use two lags into the center through the stud as it was just short enough to not be able to mount to a stud on each side. I used one of these anchors on each end to hold up the shelf and two pistols, plus the several picture frames and a small memento statue on the shelf.The anchors went it perfect, the lip caught just as it should and the screws went in easy. Synched right up to the anchor and the screw tightened right up without slipping, stripping or pushing it through the wall.This shelf is sturdy, you would never know it was using a drywall anchor on each end instead of stud mounting. Quality made anchors, im planning on grabbing some more to keep on hand.
