I have been using these HECO 1000 fronts for 2 years, from a home theater. They are omnivorous and universal, but because of this, they lack a little clarity and detail in the music, they are deaf, however, the equalizer will help you. I don't indulge in audiophilia, I prefer esotericism and magic - real blind listening . I change equipment often and always have something to compare with. I took different wires from my friends, from aluminum to copper with silver, but this rude HECO doesn't seem to care, the difference in sound is elusive, on the verge of self-deception. I connected it via Bi-Amping, but I almost did not notice the difference, the HF played a little louder, the LF did not change, I probably need to stir up the filter. Bi-wiring with these HECOs is generally useless, the magic of 4 wires, as always, did not work :)) Art Audio Lab m125, they didn’t play very well with a tube amp, the midrange is fat, the treble is blurry, the bass is too mumbling, it seems normal, but the power of the “lamp” is clearly not enough . BRIG-001 played boringly, the midrange bulged out, HF cotton wool, woofer droned and the background was heard, this acoustics revealed all the shortcomings of the old soviet amp, I don’t understand why they are so admired . Yamaha A-801, with it played beautifully dense low frequencies, detailed high frequencies and good filling of the sound stage. S. M.S. L. A300 played softly, but with distortions, this kid from class D did not cope with them very well. Pioneer 923, they played loudly, clearly, according to Pioneer sharply, they swayed perfectly, it seems that this home theater from HECO was created specifically for such receivers .
