Review on Beanie Cap Silicone Bottle Stopper: Novelty Cork Replacement ๐Ÿงข for Beverage Preservation - Set of Two, by Monkey Business (Blue/Gray) by Clint Mcloven

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best cork for most glass bottles!

Sometimes it takes me a few days to finish my strong beer, or a week to finish a bottle of wine. I've tried probably a dozen different brands of cork, including vacuum vents (too pretentious for red wine), flared centers (sometimes too loose, too many pieces, takes time to dry when pulled off), coned (loose seal), and plain tapered plugs. They're superior to all others - a piece of durable silicone in a charming shape (at least for snowy climates like ours) that stays on the bottle, keeping the rim clean and protected. , and a belt for washing. I wish the price would go down, and maybe there would be a different shape or two (how about a classic pineapple, for summer or tropical fun?), or some other color options. However, we bought a second set and basically have a pair in use. They make a great gift for almost anyone!

Pros
  • The perfect cork substitute: They can be used endlessly and fit on any standard glass beverage bottle. They are dishwasher safe, durable and easy to remove.
Cons
  • Big and bulky.
