I was trying to find a halogen bulb in the same color and intensity as the SATCOM bulb that was discontinued. The LED lights were too bright and focused; We needed more ambient light for the PAR 38 ceiling glasses. This lamp was a lower wattage than mine but the color temperature was the same so I gave it a try. Good work. Make sure the glass surface is frosted like the previous units as that would help soften the light in overhead applications but overall it works. Too early to see how long the lightbulb will last. hope they hold up.
