I bought these to put peanut butter in. The first problem I had was that the lids don't actually unscrew. There's a small ledge you build up to hold them. It's very easy to twist it past the edge then the lid will pop off. In fact I was careful and the cap falls off all the time. A screw on the lid would work much better. I had leaks but it could have been the wrong cap. I assume any little bump will knock the caps off. I gave 3 stars for durability because they are steel and just don't hold the contents. There is a silicone ring in the top cover for sealing. However, the inside of the ring will trap whatever was in the container, requiring it to be removed to be completely clear. If they made the seal a solid disc instead of a ring, it wouldn't have this problem and could easily be cleaned. Since the lid is bolted by default and the gasket is a solid washer, someone has tried to come up with an improved design and it's actually a design flaw. FAIL
