So I felt almost stupid buying this. But in recent years two of my hoses have deteriorated due to water remaining in the line and they have burst in the winter in the cold. I tried all the tricks mentioned here to get the water out of the hoses in the fall. (A rag with an air compressor nozzle, duct tape.). Everything never worked well and I spent a good hour of my time fiddling with things and never getting any clean lines but kinda got really wet. So I bought it this year. Stupid $9 and I added it to my bucket of air compressor parts. This thing is simple and to the point. Fits standard air compressor hose and the other end of garden hose and drains water in 30 seconds. Oh how much time I spend near Frost every year to do this. Just buy it. It's the right tool for the job and don't waste it next year.
