Review on πŸ’ͺ Powerful Liberty Pumps 287 Sump Pump: Gray, 1-1/2" - Superior Performance for Effective Drainage by Ryan Fitch

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Best quality pump among water pumps, parts and accessories

The first drain pump I had at home was the Zoeller M53. This lasted 3 years before I started having problems with the switch not turning on. I replaced it with a Wayne 1/2 HP pump with a "Switch Genius" electronic switch similar to the "LevelGuard" switch sold here and some pumps. It worked great if you kept the switch clean. But it had to be cleaned several times a year which was annoying. The good thing was that at least in the "on" position it always cracked and the pump was so loud I always knew when it was happening. This pump is best designed. The only problem I have is that the float is not protected so it can get stuck. I would have liked some sort of cage or bumper on top to keep it clean. Otherwise I like it so far. This is by far the quietest drain pump I have ever had, the water flowing through the outlet is louder than the pump. From the floor above I would never have known that it worked at all if the ZΓΆller check valve hadn't rattled. It seems well built. As with any sump pump, only time will tell how good it really is.
