Advantages: does not stick. With taste. Cons: Can smell affect cooking? I'm no expert when it comes to seasoning cast iron, but I'm noticing a difference for the better. . However, when I start cooking it seems to stick to the food easily. Also, if you leave it on for long, it seems to get even stickier with all the dust and stuff it's collected. Read the reviews for this product and everyone seems to agree it's good. I use this and it doesn't take long to cover the pan. It also has a pleasant aroma, but when you cook it smells like you're cooking without the smell. Annoying, but no big deal. When I cook with it, it coats the pan better. So I'm all for not using vegetable oil to protect the pan. My next purchase will be a cleaning product as it is said to help keep the wort off. I found the price high but as I said it won't last long so it should be a while. Overall I'm happy with the price and quality.
