The left bracket didn't want to be removed, it interfered with the hood hinge (Chevy Colorado ZR2 2020)

The right side stood up with no problems. both screws for the left side (towards the truck), after that I was finally able to attach it. Be careful when loosening the bolts, ideally have someone help you hold the hood while loosening/tightening the bolts. Personally I felt/heard the hood move slightly when I removed both bolts from either side. I checked the gap between the hood and the body and it didn't look like any gaps were uneven, but again I didn't check the gap before removing the bolts. So I can't say exactly what moved.
