Great for resealing Uncapping i7-8700Ks

I used Permatex Ultra Black to reseal my i7-8700k computer processor after "uncapping" it (removing the IHS) and replacing the thermal paste with liquid metal. difficult. This seal is very good for resealing 8700k and will probably work fine with i7-7700k or any other bad cpu if common sense is used; This means you're applying an ultra-thin layer - thinner than the factory seal if you're looking to overclock. Bottom. This was done with a plastic Shopping Promotion card (optional Game Stop Rewards card) and hard hands; Then use soap and water to remove the silicone from your hands or use rubber gloves when applying Permatex Ultra Black. 12 hours, but it is better to wait longer to ensure firm flat contact and a secure seal. This material is durable and will hold onto IHS if given enough time to dry, even with a small amount. I've seen some people put them in toaster ovens on low heat to speed up the drying of the silicone seal, but air and time work just as well and are less likely to go wrong, like e.g. B. moving the contact.
