Most colors match the pictures but I chose this set for the dandelion/golden yellow color which is actually orange. It's a bright orange, but still orange instead of the lovely gold color in the picture. Also, the colors are very bright and pretty, the thread is VERY thick as other reviews have said so I wish there was a thread weight somewhere in the description so I could choose my preference. Other comments have mentioned that this isn't for sewing machines, but as an experienced machine user and a true seamstress, I can confirm this is for sewing machines. It's not as thick as that used in Duffy bags and jeans, but it's thick to accommodate changing sewing machine needles and tension. still great price, great colors and good quality.
