Review on Short Stubby Antenna For Mazda Miata 2006-2022 - 3.8 Inch, Compatible With CravenSpeed by Keith Barra

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Hear me out.: my feedback

I'm giving this a rather generous review. The main thing is concerning reception. It will NOT pick up as strong of a signal, no matter what others may tell you. I've been through two factory-length antennas, and just put this one on it. I live in a large city with a lot of FM stations that came in well on my factory antenna (and the replacement one, also factory,) and this li'l "Stubby" just isn't long enough to pick up the same transmissions as well as my dilapidated originals would. The problem with the originals was that they flexed a few inches above the base, and in that area, stress fractures would occur, and eventually you'd be driving down the highway with your antenna parallel to the road.Another ding is the advertised length. I know this is minor, but the listing says this is a 4" antenna - it's 3.75" from base to tip.The main reason I'm leaving an overall positive review here is because it looks good on the car, and seems to be built with quality materials, There is nothing to flex, bend, or break on this thing. Don't think for a moment that it will pick up stations like your original, but it sure seems like it'll certainly outlast the factory ones, even if it doesn't work nearly as well.

Pros
  • Perfectly fits Mazda Miata 2006-2022 models
Cons
  • May require regular readjustment
