I bought this tape to stick on the bars of one of those regular, cheap, crooked metal shoe racks that you usually put on the floor of a closet. My closet is terribly small, so I can't put shoes on the hanger in such a way that the heels of the shoes protrude over the back bar, thereby preventing the shoes from sliding forward and off the hanger. This tape did the job perfectly - even better than I expected! My shoes remain remarkably adherent to the rack's bars/shelves, even if knocked over a bit when I grab a pair of shoes in a hurry. However, I cannot speak to other possible and more common uses of tape. For the use I had in mind, the tape was even more effective than I thought.
