I recently installed the Titan extruder upgrade on my CR-10 V2. While this is a great direct drive upgrade, the weight it places on the hot-end assembly is significant. This could potentially affect the acceleration and movement of the hotend and hence multi-angle 3D printing. With this stepper, not only did it reduce the weight by 2/3, but it also worked perfectly without recalibrating the electronic steps! Now don't get me wrong, I'm planning on doing an E-Step setup via the pronterface to set it up after I've installed the E3D V6 all-metal hot end (with 3D Passion attachment and thermal break). Ignore the cable routing in the photos as it is temporary. I'm developing a drag and drop setup in Fusion360 to handle all of this. Thanks very much! Update: I added a heatsink to the stepper motor (removed the cloth tape that came with it and installed real hot melt tape) as it does get a bit warm.
