Reduces Stabbing Heel Pain

My Sharp stabbing heel pain was diagnosed as plantar fasciitis. I have been dealing with it for months. But the arch area wasn’t painful, mainly the heel felt like a knife was going in. I researched and researched to try to find something that would work I had had the Cortizone injection I had done insoles, I had done all kinds of things ice etc. when I happened upon an Article talking about Heel Pad pain, And heel cups were recommended. Mind you I had purchased gel inserts and things like that to cushion my heel from the pain but these heel cups add a more bouncy padded area to my heel and after wearing them for about seven days my pain had gone down about 80% after months of pain. So there is something to be said for these heel cups. I wear them in my shoes and they slip around a little bit. The best relief I’ve gotten has been from wearing a regular thin sock placing the heel cup on top of that and then putting on a shorter sock with a little bit of compression in the arch built in. It’s kind of like I’ve built my own padded heel and then I just put that in the shoe as one unit. Works wonders! Give it about a week of wearing it every day before you judge it. I probably will wear these the rest of my life just to prevent that awful pain from reoccurring.

Pros
  • Helped my heel pain go away.
Cons
  • May cause discomfort during prolonged use

I only need it for my left foot so it helps balance when walking. It does make a bit of a difference. My only beef with it is that because it is so flexible, it curls sometimes when trying to get your foot in your shoe so it requires a little finagling to uncurl it so it''s not uncomfortable. I don''t know if it''s the best out there but for the time being it seems to be helping.
