This cardigan is made from a soft, lightweight, tightly woven knit material that feels like a thin fleece as far as warmth and texture. It does have some stretch to it, and is very comfortable to wear. I wear it strictly as lounge-wear, though, since to me, it looks more like a robe than something to wear out and about (to be fair, I did order it in the "light gray" though, and maybe a different color would have looked less like pajamas). I am 5 foot 7, weigh 165 pounds, have a 36C bust, and wear a US women's size 10; I ordered this cardigan in the "X-Large" to ensure a roomier fit, and I am happy with the slightly loose, but not overly baggy look. The length is right above my knees.Overall, this is a comfortable, lightweight cardigan. It does look more like lounge-wear to me, but that might be due to the light gray color I ordered.
