Review on 🚰 Govee 5-Pack Water Detectors with Adjustable 100dB Audio Alarm Sensor - Leak and Drip Alert for Kitchen, Bathroom, Basement - Includes Battery by Jimmy Breaux

I bought my first set of leak detectors (of a different brand) and installed them under MOST but not all of the sinks in my house. A sink in the main bathroom was leaking and went unnoticed, probably for a while. I discovered it in January 2020. Thousands of dollars of damage and a new bathroom plus carpet in the basement. Then I bought Govees. Yes, the pairing instructions are terrible, but there are some good points in the reviews here. I ended up buying 13 Govee sensors and making sure I had them under every sink, toilet, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine and in various locations in the basement. I also installed a FloodStop unit on my 20 year old water heater. Govee recently discovered a leak under the sink which I was able to respond to immediately. I have found that emails are easily overlooked due to the high volume of emails I receive. I HEARD the alarm but would not have noticed the email. My kettle started leaking last week. FloodStop did its job by shutting off the water. Howie screamed and emailed me. The next day I managed to replace the water heater. Not a terrible flood, just some water in the basement. I found a solution to the email problem. I wanted to add a text notification. So I added my SMS as an email address. If you don't know yours, you can look it up online. It's like this: 9999999999@txt.provider.net Now my Govees text me. I'm happy! I regularly check the Govee app to make sure all sensors are properly connected. After the flood last January, it is very important to me not to repeat this mistake!
