Review on Continental ContiPremiumContact 5 215/55 R17 94V summer by Micha Dziubiski ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I really like the product, it fully meets my expectations.

After reading the customer feedback, I became concerned that the sidewalls would have hernias in them. Previously, there was a Yokohama ASPEC A349 that was the same size as that one. The ContiPremiumContact 5 weighs half as much as its predecessor and has sidewalls that are three times thinner. If the tires are inflated to the prescribed pressure by the manufacturer of the vehicle, and the driver does not pay attention to the advice of those who say, "on our roads you need to lower it - it will be softer," then it is likely that none of the concerns will come true. At full speed, I careened into the pits and onto the rails, and the running gear and rubber had no effect whatsoever on either of those outcomes. Once more, the correct amount of pressure enables good handling. In a turn that used to require a trajectory of 60 kilometers per hour to complete, you may now easily complete it at 80–100 kilometers per hour. The rubber has lived up to my expectations. The very first time I felt the thrill of driving on rubber, I couldn't help but crack a smile while I was behind the wheel. In my opinion, the 2022 kit is well worth the money spent and the effort that was required to acquire it.

Pros
  • Excellent tires in terms of their balance, quietness, and low weight.
Cons
  • A defect that exists solely for the purpose of aesthetics is that Continental made the decision, for some reason, not to remove the squeezed out rubber at the junction and embossing of the shape. As a direct consequence of this, the tire appears sloppy if you look at it closely.
