Review on ECCPP 1996 2004 Frontier Pathfinder Infiniti Replacement Parts by Bill Dahl

The kit looked good out of the box. Installed by a mechanic and everything seems fine. About 3 months later I heard a horrible metal-on-metal crunch coming from the engine. I called the mechanic, he took it all apart again and we found that the tensioner was wrong. The inner part of the tensioner was separated from the outer and fitted to the lower timing belt cover. In the photos you can see a new replacement Gates tensioner next to the broken one. You can also see the groove he ground into the timing belt cover.
