The elastic waistband makes the waist appear thicker.
Elastic waistband adds inches. I knew it stretched, but I was in desperate need of a new skirt. I wore it with a wide belt to slim my waist and a white knit shirt, but cream would have looked better. The pattern is beautiful and the fabric is almost wrinkle free. The folds are wonderful. I recommend a skirt, but wear it with a wide belt.
