Review on CURT 55774 7-Pin and 4-Pin Dual-Output Vehicle-Side Connectors with Factory Tow Package and USCAR Socket by Taj Tyagi

Installation went very smoothly, installed on a Chevy Silverado which mated perfectly with the factory wiring harness. Couldn't use the bracket provided but installed the connector in the bumper into the existing connector mounting hole but left no room for the 4 pin connector. No major issues, 1. I'm not using a 4-pin connector and 2. I routed a 4-pin connector between the bumper and tailgate so it can be used. then there were problems: once i connected my trailer to either left or right, or both brake/indicators were disconnected and not working, spent 2 hours trying to get the trailer light to work. Swapped 7-pin connector on trailer, same problem. I was able to find another outlet and install it on the truck (it wasn't a bug) and the trailer worked fine. can't get the time back and that shouldn't have been a problem with the new standard plug. I have a lot of short products and this was the first one that let me down from the start.
