Great vise for small hobby jobs. I build circuits and electrical "things" and this was a huge advantage over other "helping hand" devices. Look, we've all been using the 2-hand for years, reinforcing the outstretched helping hand. My first was in high school over 30 years ago, and while it worked, it also had its downsides. I've never been able to hold anything so precisely and this vise just gives me the ability to find a way. They are solid with a heavy base and all threads and clamps are well made. I've been able to hold small circuit boards for soldering and desoldering and also picked up the Hobby Creek Helping Hands Third Hand Pana Hand Soldering Tool Accessory Set from Hobby Creek and they go together nicely. What the foot clamps cannot additionally achieve or hold, another device mounted on this vice does. I like to use both. I will also use other "heads" or attachments for this vise and will also consider standard vise for other needs in the future. Well built, durable and works every time. Can't beat it!
