I have to start by saying that having bought a few of these over the years I was skeptical because their quality seemed to be good or bad at best. Part of my problem is that I (subjectively, I know) paid too much for anything, it's utterly blasphemous. Especially something that screams both extras and high, like this item. However, the price of a full size 4 inch topper was close to the cost of a topper for my king bed, so I bought it, blaming inflation over the years. I sleep on my side, so usually either my hip (most common) or my shoulder (second most common) or both have a weird dull ache in them (almost numb?) because they carry the brunt of my weight when I sleep. On the other hand, if I slept on my back on my stomach, my weight would be more evenly distributed. This was an issue for me, despite having a one-sleeper bed (cheaper, but still) and a Costco version. Memory Foam Mattress The next part is hard to believe even for me: I bought this for a crib in October. I am writing this in January. I probably first slept on this thing in early December. The next morning, I got out of bed and looked at the $150 items my kids were sleeping on with real confusion. noisy. It was a better night's sleep than my $2500 bedroom bed and comparable to the Costco memory foam bed I once had. Hence my truly stunned WTF moment. Now, after denying that I slept that well on a not-so-expensive mattress, I *finally* replace the horrible pad on my king-size bed and am no idiot. Disclaimer: This thing can't beat my sleep count, can it? Probably not, which is why I decided it must be pretty damn perfect for my body and my sleeping position. However, if you sleep on your side I can only assume that you will enjoy it too. Also, many of the reviews I see mention high quality and they are absolutely correct. I've bought maybe 5 of these mattresses in the last 10 years and this is *easily* the best I've ever had. too comfortable! Now all I need is the same magic pillow and I win the sleep lottery!
