Initially everything was fine except the E1 was not moving. I checked the driver jumpers and the firmware I modified from an older SKR 1.4 T installation and everything was correct. Then the second step didn't work anymore. I doubled the tested voltages, tested the motors themselves and the current setting in the firmware. Everything was good. Then the cascade error progressed rapidly until not a single stepper stopped working, and then the board itself stopped booting, only a very dim lightbulb was visible. None of the fuses are blown. I contacted a friend of mine who had also recently upgraded to SKR 2. After a while I convinced him to remove his board so we could replace it in my setup, flash the firmware and see what the heck was going on. After I plugged it in and the firmware crashed everything worked fine including E1. Did a test print, no problems. We left it on for 24 hours and there wasn't a single issue with the board. We swapped the boards again to get him to start his printer again and tested my board again. It doesn't light up, except for a very dim LED, and it doesn't do anything at all. I can only conclude that the board received had a bug that caused the cascade error. I'm still giving 2 stars because I can't consciously judge all boards based on a defect in a particular device, especially when my friends have everything working with the same firmware. In the same vein, I can't rate it any higher due to the extent of the defect, and I have no idea if this is a one-off issue, a production-specific issue, or a design flaw that doesn't always appear. Whatever the circumstances, I've ordered a new one due to an approaching deadline, but I'm hoping to get a refund for a defective board. I will also write a review once I receive the second payment.
