I was amazed at how reliable the Funai brand is. The store bought Funai VCR/DVD recorder has served me well for many years. Currently, the store-bought unit is the only recorder that records discs longer than eight (8) hours. The Funai SV2000 took me by surprise when I checked the recording format. The device writes to rw+ discs. He, Funai, can also work with R+ hard drives. Knowing that made me happy. In general, the device works and works well. A Funai remote controls all of these products; that's a plus.
