This is vacuum glass.
I prefer a glass vacuum flask. It keeps you warm longer. Glass is not as thermally conductive as metal, and the open end is not open, minimizing heat loss when half filled or less. I have had stainless steel bottles where after removing the cup or lid the stainless steel was exposed like a chimney and hot causing significant heat loss. Very bad design. I have also found that some thermos lids are not insulated and allow heat to escape. Another bad design. This jug will keep your coffee hot for up to 24 hours as long as you don't take another sip during that time.
