If you need that size, they work just as well as any.

I needed one of these when the original on my Mini Cooper S '06 needed it to replace a rusty and broken A/C compressor clutch.

This External Retaining Ring is used to secure parts on shafts in a machined groove. It features a sturdy steel construction for durability. Mount with pliers.
