This thing should have a center rail so it doesn't run up the wall when you're trying to cut a hole. I finally got a 3/8 screw, threaded it into a mandrel and ground the head of the screw so I could use this thing. I couldn't find a product that I could buy that would give me the centering control I needed. A "regular" hole saw has a bit that you can insert into the mandrel to center the cut. I got a small 3/8 concrete drill bit to make a pilot hole and then with a 3/8 center stud I was able to use a hole saw.
