I'm a tiler and I do a lot of bathrooms and kitchens and have to drill or cut a lot of holes. I have several of these different sizes and each has worked for me time and again and given me solid results. I use a damp sponge and periodically wet the hole. I use a single speed grinder with a porter cord.

This thing should have a center rail so it doesn't run up the wall when you're trying to cut a hole. I finally got a 3/8 screw, threaded it into a mandrel and ground the head of the screw so I could use this thing. I couldn't find a product that I could buy that would give me the centering control I needed. A "regular" hole saw has a bit that you can insert into the mandrel to center the cut.
