Have been using the docking station for almost two weeks now and am disappointed. First, the cable (USB and power) is very short, which limits desktop space. Not the best way to save pennies. But the main disadvantage is the loss of connection / freezing. I have an external drive (3TB) that is permanently connected through this dock and I am constantly accessing files on it. About 15-20% of my connection attempts it freezes and I have to turn the dock off and on again. It shouldn't work like that. Other USB ports that are rarely used work fine. The charging port is power-saving and useless. I plan to return the item.
