Review on 🚿 KES Brass Handheld Shower Head Holder Bracket - Wall Mount for Bathroom Hand Sprayers - Square Chrome - C107 by Jessie Lopez

This is by far one of the most affordable yet most durable shower head holders on the market. Many other similar products are either overpriced or made out of ABS plastic which can break quite easily given the amount of daily use these bathtub faucets make. Here are the reasons I bought this KES C107 and not others. FITS: This bracket will fit almost any standard shower head as long as a 1/2" adapter/hose is used. This bracket is used to attach the constricting part of the shower hose to the shower head. I personally use this Hansgrohe Raindance hand shower: 1-5&keywords=hansgrohe+hand+shower&refinements=p_n_material_two_browse-bin%3A542680011 CONSTRUCTION: As the name suggests, it is made of solid brass. You can feel it just by holding it in your hands. It has a certain weight. The entire outer part of the holder has a bright chrome finish, while the inside of the holder has a matt chrome finish. Some old reviews said the back has a rounded lip that makes it difficult to glue. I think they may have changed the design as the current pics have a fully lined and plain back. INSTALLATION: - I do not recommend attempting to glue this unless you know the glue you are using is suitable for your installed surface and can hold the mass. You definitely don't want this item falling on your bare foot while showering! This item is designed for permanent installation in the bathroom hence the two holes. The shower head mount/bracket comes with 2 screws and 2 anchors that can be used. You need to drill two holes in the tile/stone/fiberglass/whatever material you want to install. 3/16 bit is required to install anchor. TIPS: - If you have never laid anything on tile/stone before, take precautions. Here are some suggestions/tips for installing this mount if you have tiles like mine: 1. Use two layers of masking tape to cover the area where you want to install the mount. The tape prevents the drill from slipping, especially on smooth tiles.2. Place the holder on the tape and mark the two holes with a pen, making sure they line up. You can also use a lever to make sure it's level. The included anchors will require you to use a 3/16 masonry bit if going through tile/brick. It's preferable to use a carbide tip, but if not, no big deal. Start with a smaller masonry bit (any size 1/8 or smaller will do). Line up the drill and start by drilling one of the holes in the marked area with tape. Note. This will take some time and patience when drilling through tile/stone as you need to make sure your drill bit doesn't slip, but you need to add constant force/hammer blows. Start at a slower speed and continue drilling until you have drilled through the first layer of tile (the hardest). Be patient as this may take some time. You may have to pause between them if you use too much speed as it can burn you. Once the first layer is drilled, the rest are much easier to drill. After you finish drilling, use the 3/16 bit to re-drill the hole to make the hole bigger.4. Insert and hammer in the dowels, then screw on the bracket. You can also apply some caulk/seal around the edges to prevent water getting in/between the wall and the bracket. Attached are a few photos of my setup. Please ignore my poor poetry skills.
