I have an old Buick with a 3800 Series 1 engine. I checked the coils and one of them didn't fire as hard as the other two. So I bought this DR39T to replace it. Good: It solved my problem. After installation, the check engine light went out and the car ran perfectly again. The Bad: Only lasted a year and a half, about 10,000-12,000 miles. This part has a one-year warranty, so technically it worked. beyond the warranty period, but hardly meets the minimum expectations for me, especially given the low mileage during this period. To be honest, if you plan on keeping your car for at least a few years, it's probably worth the extra $$$ to buy an OEM (Delphi or Delco). If you're just trying to get another year or so out of your car, bargain coils like these aren't a bad option. You save about 50% compared to OEM. Just don't expect them to last longer than the 1 year warranty. Note. I replaced this spool with a Mopar Magnetti Marelli reel which comes with a 2 year warranty. It costs even less than the DR39T and the machine is functional again. Only time will tell how long this will last.
