Malfunctioning Cuckoo Lubricant

Recently completed full service of two Regula 25 cuckoo clocks. BOTH clocks failed in less than 90 days. One failed to activate the cuckoo and the other stopped working at all. After removing the movements and full review, the movements were dry. There was no trace of oil left. I understand watch oil evaporates, but not in 90 days.
