Don't pay attention to negative reviews!

I don't often write reviews but I think this product deserves recognition. I almost didn't buy this remedy based on some negative reviews I read. First, some say the grip is pretty flimsy. And bend? The handle is actually very powerful and longer than I expected. It easily outperformed my breaker. In fact, the stubborn cam bolt I was dealing with required a pick-up tube on my breaker, and this tool still gave plenty of leverage. Bending this handle is applying force in the wrong direction. Second, some are unhappy with the swingarm and/or pivot. The swing arm is designed for use under tension, not under pressure. In other words, if they break it, they use it in reverse! It is true that the swivel is a rivet closure, but it is large and has no play or play. I don't expect the rod will ever fail, but if it does it's easy to replace with a screw. Finally, people have complained about the pins bending or breaking. Again I was pleasantly surprised and they turned out to be much more durable than I expected. As mentioned, they easily withstood my cocked crowbar. However, to work properly, the pins must be screwed fully into the handle and then given a knurled lock nut on the back. It takes a few extra seconds to install the locking nuts, but this doubles the thread area of the pins and adds a "shoulder" for the pin to press against the arm on the back. If you take the shortcut and skip the lock nuts, you will reap what you sow. Let's face it, at this price point, this isn't a "professional" instrument. The handle isn't comfortable to hold, and the blown body blows, but I digress that's not the case. This thing will definitely get the job done for you BUT only if used properly. The bottom line is that people are idiots and it's not the instrument's fault. Buy it with confidence.
