I swear by all holy Christ, F this monitor. First, I peel off all that ridiculous plastic wrap they put on new electronics these days. The sides and back of the monitor are completely wrapped in it. "God, why do the stupid sides and back of the monitor need protection like this?" I think to myself as I tidy everything up. I then try to peel it off the real screen on the front and can't find it or get it to peel off. There's no way you're going to put it on the sides and back, but not on the screen itself, right? I look over the included instructions and see the stupid plastic sheet peel off the main screen on the front as you would expect. Okay, I'll just have to make an effort to peel it off I guess. I notice something is sticking to the screen so I start peeling it off, but it's thicker than plastic wrap. Heck, what if it's actually part of the monitor or something? Let's just plug it in and see how it looks first. So I plug it in and sure enough what I've started peeling off is the damn screen itself! Well I guess now I at least know how this monitor technology works. The actual pixels are just a thin sheet glued to the backlight. Great, now my new monitor is failing within 5 minutes of purchase. Speaking of backlighting, HOLY CHRIST. Even if the screen is pure black, it looks more like blinding white light than black. Like in the operating room under an operating room light. I've only had this monitor for a minute and already hate it more than anything I've ever bought. F this monitor. I wish I had spent that $150 on toilet paper. I would feel a lot better than now.
