Great for remodeling. The advantages outweigh a few disadvantages.
The lights work fine, they are very bright, the color choice is great. I'm doing a renovation and installed about 40 lights. My only real issue is that the o-ring cushion that seals the light to the ceiling leaves a small gap in certain spots that can cast a slight shadow in certain rooms and lighting conditions. As a result, it doesn't wash off a bit in certain spots. The clamps are also great for initial installation, but if you have to remove them they can come loose and damage the seal on the ceiling, requiring you to disassemble and adjust the spring. The ability to change color and install directly onto a stud is why I ordered them. I would order them again if needed.
