My fault for not reading the specs
The first three I tried popped up and blown right away. I tried them in two different ordinary lamps. Both lamps continue to work with incandescent lamps of the same power. I haven't tried the other three bulbs in the box. I later learned that these bulbs are designed for low voltage lighting fixtures such as those found in recreational vehicles.
