Instant Satisfaction

I was not happy with the replacement of my 3 year old remote control. Older TV remote controls still work. The remote just stopped working after 1 day. The new remote worked immediately after inserting the batteries. But not as structured as the original. So I wonder how long this will last. Am I going to buy a backup now so I don't have to go days without a TV?
