Works very well and not so bright that it's too bright and glaring. My only concern is that there must be some sort of padding under the light as it feels a bit stiff and hard on the forehead. The controls are simple and seem to work, although the purpose of the slow blinking escapes me. Useful for what I do with it, what odd jobs are as a hobby, and tuning guitars when I need to take accurate measurements and have a headlamp illuminate my instruments. Having bought several more expensive brands that failed from the start, this one was a pleasant surprise. Probably not bright enough for backpackers.
