Live Gamer Duo Details, highly recommend

I bought this with the intention of grabbing 2 HDMI consoles while also chasing brilliant Pokemon games at the same time. Ultimately I wanted to make sure I could test this card to see if it was for me. I did a roughly 3 hour stream with this card the night before this review and didn't have any hiccups! I was pleasantly surprised to say the least. I've usually used an Elgato HD60 S USB card (2 of them when I hunted brilliantly) and this card worked great too. I have a few details about the card that I would like to share: a driver that needs to be installed. However, this card requires an installed driver. You can swap or play audio from both recorded devices at the same time. I once played both at the same time and felt a crackle. Normally you don't want both devices to play audio. If that's the case, I think that's a minor issue. Make sure your computer has a PCIe slot with the correct threads. I bought mine thinking I *probably* have the right stream since I have an extra PCIe 16x slot. Luckily I was right. The map itself is quite large. You can unscrew the metal plate to make it thinner if it doesn't fit, but even then it might still not fit. I've tried this with my Retrotink 2X Pro and 2X M to make sure my retro consoles work. and I encountered the same problem as other HDMI capture cards. I sincerely believe this is a retrotink and not a card, but if your tink would work with HDMI cards that would be ideal. All in all, if you have a motherboard slot, I highly recommend this card. It works great and saves some wiring compared to using 2 USB capture cards.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for seniors
