Review on Blue Star Auto Repair Multi Pack by Corey Singh

Way better than most.

This one is structured unlike most. It's sturdy and strong enough, yet flexible enough to wrap around curved surfaces. I used a hair dryer to shape it because I wasn't sure if the heat gun might be too hot. Fan worked fine. Many other "lens repair kits" which are just thin, flat/smooth flexible sheets that tear quickly after exposure to strong sun/weather and fade from red to barely pink just as quickly. It is the pulling that occurs first, breaking or fading to almost transparent. The thin/flat/smooth ones I've bought from auto parts stores are little better than the red tape ones, expect them to last maybe a week longer. Some of the others LOOK textured in their photos, but there's really just a sticker with black triangles or something. These decals tend to peel off immediately after application or shortly after exposure to normal riding/weather conditions such as heat/cold/wind/sun/rain etc light so as not to disperse it. The texture on it is a simple square pattern that will obviously never be perfect for a close look at a specific taillight. If you want the perfect match, you need to buy a specific part for a specific vehicle. I would have preferred to scatter the light a bit better so there is more "mixing" than seeing the bulb/LEDs as noticeable, but that's probably not realistic. It should have a fairly simple pattern to fit well enough on as many cars as possible. In general I am very happy with them. This seems much more of a "permanent solution" than any other I've seen.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Not all fit
