This is a great value for money screen. I use an Epson 3020 home cinema projector with 2300 lumens. You lose very little brightness compared to a solid screen, but not much. I went from a 106 inch white screen to this 110 inch acoustic screen. I built a wall of studs and used black fabric to secure the screen. My center channel is in the center just behind the screen - with 1/4 "". Cons: I have 2 very small creases in the bottom left corner of the screen that aren't noticeable unless I'm using a flashlight on the side - so not 100% perfect, but around 99.8%. The middle band blocks your tweeter when you have the center channel speaker fully turned on in the center of the screen, so you need to move the speaker 2"-3" off center. The solution would be to make the screen with two smaller center support bars which I'm pretty sure come with screens that cost 3-4 times as much ALSO as others have suggested (thanks for the tip!) , the silver center bar will shine through the screen unless you put black gorilla tape on the side center support bar. The company logo in the bottom right corner is shiny metal - very annoying so I covered it with a piece of fuzzy black velcro. The audio comes naturally from the center, which helps the film's surround sound sound more realistic. i love this screen. If you have children or pets, handle the screen surface with care. It's a bit of work to install, but for my setup it works GREAT.
