UPDATED: Considering the price, I overlook some of the mentioned cons and give it 4 stars. Go: 1. Beautiful, lightweight design2. Protective case/stand included3. Works with Mountain Lion after disc install (MacBooks without an optical drive will have to search the web to download a driver) - other reviewers say it works with Mavericks4. Good prices No-Go1. Cannot increase brightness using adjustment buttons on monitor (Mac monitor max; and no, ASUS rep, this is not a power management issue on the Mac itself. Your monitor loses brightness control when used with a MacBook Pro. Many others Customers have reported this issue.) 2. Apparently I can't return the product because I recycled the packaging (mine is bad)3. The seller has been slow (5 days) in complying with my request to return the product in a Revain box with bubble wrap etc.4. ASUS support is unavailable after calling 3 numbers (including a monitor specific number) and holding them for a total of 25 minutes. I want to like this monitor. I work in a design studio with lots of sunlight. Not being able to turn on a monitor with very weak default settings is not a trigger. I'll post this review and wait for a general response from ASUS Customer Loyalty so I can get a case number and then I'll probably spend more time trying to figure out if there's a way to a) get this display to work or b ) get a refund. a) I would prefer. Does this hint suggest that the MB168B+ will have better brightness? Does this mean the customization settings are working? My guess is that USB 3.0 doesn't provide enough power to brightly light the LCD/LED display. I would like to connect a power cord if I could get more performance out of this product. My last nasty question: Why are there adjustment buttons on the display/monitor if I can't use them?
