Ok so there are two halves to this mattress topper. The top half, where you rest your head, is fantastic! It's very firm but also comfortable. It feels great. The second half, from the butt to the feet, is super soft. So soft to the point where you can't even sit on the edge of the bed without sinking in or sliding off. If I shimmy too far down in my sleep my hips end up on the super soft area and I wake up with really bad hip pain. I think this would work on a regular mattress better than a foam mattress which is what I have. If they would have just made the whole thing like the top half this would be incredible. I honestly have no idea why the bottom half is so terrible. Its a huge obvious difference too. Also it does not stay put. It slides around really bad and has to be adjusted often which I imagine some might have trouble with.
