I will be installing Back Splash tiles on the kitchen walls but first the walls need to be cleaned of old adhesive. So I ordered this item. I was surprised that the lid on this thing didn't have some sort of safety feature to keep the lid from coming off. However, the cement had the right consistency. It spreads fairly easily and you can work with it for a few minutes while it's hanging on the wall, so there's not much rush but just think of the time it takes to dry. I have not noticed any lumps in this material. The color is gray, but after drying it turns white and very smooth. Once I'm sure my walls are level after a little sanding, I lay the tile on the surface, which I hope will provide good adhesion. I bought this material twice to show how much I like it.
