So I spent a lot of time troubleshooting and finally figured it out. does not support it (yet!). The symptoms for me were an absolute lack of card recognition either in Windows or in my motherboard's system view. In my case, my motherboard was an ASRock Z87 Extreme3. After many many bug fixes, I found that updating the BIOS specifically fixes this issue, for example: UPDATE: Improved M.2 compatibility when using a PCIe M.2 adapter. If you're having the same symptoms as me, visit your motherboard's support page and see if BIOS updates fix a similar issue. Even if it doesn't, you can still try flashing your bios. REVIEW: I'm leaving this blank for now as I'm not a student at a university where I could properly test the device, but it seems to be the case. works well so far despite its quirky design. Will be updated later! Much luck!
