For reference I have a 35 inch chain as it comes in 3 different sizes. , this is my first so be the first to know. Comes with 3 keys, one has a light. I think you need that and a damaged lock somehow. Nice that you support that. When I put my Bull's Grinder 1 gravel bike on, I found it a little uncomfortable balancing on the bike itself and looked for alternative ways to carry it, so it wasn't an issue anymore. What I found worked best for me when I was riding with a chain strapped around my waist. That seemed most convenient to me. When you get the lock make sure you register the numbered keys on their website as part of their key security program, which is a pretty nice feature. This feature makes me feel like I'm going to get a good amount from this lock. Now I'll still use my lighter smaller U-lock for targets, which I have no idea who made or how strong it is. I will occasionally leave it for short trips and places where I'm not concerned about where I am. I've always found the U-lock to be a nuisance as it was hard to feel like I could lock it around whatever I wanted, so I got a chain to start with. I have a feeling I'll use both, but this chain will serve as a safe lock for years to come. It's just a bit heavy and takes some getting used to, that's all.
