Review on Premium Aluminum External USB 3.0 UHD 4K Blu-Ray Writer Super Drive for PC and Mac by Archgon by Jon Dunn

I really liked this player at first. Our movie collection is mostly Blu-Ray and plays it perfectly. We loved the reading speed and it played 2 of our UHD movies flawlessly. We bought this disc solely for its ability to play UHD discs. However, it could not play any of the remaining 20 UHD discs. There are some compatibility issues that (unfortunately) force us to return this player. I'm giving it 4 stars because I think it's probably a "too early for this technology" issue. We would suspect our drives to be to blame, BUT. All of these UHD discs play perfectly on our home UHD player (I won't list the brand and model in this review) so we were disappointed that we had trouble playing them on this disc. We bought it mainly to play our UHD discs when traveling, so when it cannot play our UHD discs universally. we won't be able to keep it. We already have and use other portable Blu-ray drives and will continue to use them until we find the right UHD drive ready to use. We still recommend the player for Blu-ray, but for UHD. no compatibility yet.
