My existing doorbell was installed right on the door frame of my front door; which is just a little too narrow for the Ring doorbell to fit on it. I was getting ready to move the wiring through a brick wall to install the Ring doorbell on the wall next to the door, until a friend recommended this mount. The back plate on this mount is narrower than the Ring doorbell and it allowed me to install it right on the same spot as my old doorbell, no running cables, no drilling, no modifications at all. It also allows me to tilt the doorbell a little towards my driveway so I can see the cars too. Great solution!
